Conference Theme: “Economic Globalization: Shifting Realities, Shifting Responses”

Date: August 22-23, 2025

In this conference, we aim to explore the dynamic nature of globalization, highlighting how global trade, investment, and technological advancement have transformed economies worldwide, lifting millions out of poverty. Yet, as traditional manufacturing hubs shift, new markets and players emerge, reshaping global supply chains and labor markets. This transformation has led to a variety of responses, from protectionist policies to international cooperation aimed at creating opportunities for growth while, at the same time, addressing inequalities and environmental concerns. This process requires adaptive strategies to manage the challenges, such as economic inequality, degradation of the natural environment, labor displacement, and geopolitical tensions.
